They are so shy, yet when they are together, you can see how much love that they have for each other.

Well Hello Fellow Bloggers! :)
It's been quite some time now, hasnt it?
I've been busy as always.
But I finally got some time to edit and show to you a sneak peek of an amazing and neat experience I had a few weeks ago.

A good friend of mine referred me to another friend of hers, to take photos of him. He was so nice when I first met him, and was so easygoing. He have been taking Taiko classes and had a performance coming up. & so, my job was to document that for him.
I had so much fun doing it, it was so interesting and these performers did great!

Hey guys!
Figured I should post something I've been wanting to post.

As you know, I had the chance to visit my best friend in OKC.
While there, she made a deal with me, if I wanted to do a portrait session with her, she has to do one with me.

So what did we come up with?!
A DUAL PORTRAIT SESSION.
How does that work?
Well, we both dolled up.
& took turns of different roles.
First, she was a model for me.... then, I'd let her use the camera, & I "posed" for her.

Of course I was not sure how I'd feel in FRONT of the camera, since most of the time... I am BEHIND it. But I thought I'd give it a try.

So here is a shot of her! & of me :)

Hi Bloggers!

Sorry for the absence! Been quite busy ever since I got back from my vacation.
Just thought I'd update what is going on now.

This blog may be or may not be "not in use", because I will be starting a new blog for my business to focus more on my business. This will still be up, but perhaps I will not use or post images on here as much.

So when I was in OKC, I was able to do another portrait session with my friend, Tierra.
Here are the photos of her!
She was an amazing person to shoot, she was so natural and her bubbly personality showed in the photos! We had an awesome time exploring downtown OKC, who knew OKC had big building!?! I didn't! Hehe, Just kidding, Oklahoma is not as "empty" as you think.

I am sincerely sorry for my absence!
As you can see from my title, & photo, I am currently on vacation...in Oklahoma City!
I am here to visit my best friend, & just relax in the midwest :)

I am sorry that I have been quite busy, & unable to update my project 365 photos.
I recently had lost some photos, & retrieved them, but they're all disorganized and a pain in the butt to find again!
So right now, ONLY my Facebook Album of Project 365 is up-to-date.
{If you are my friend on FB, you would know that.. }

Anyway, I just figured I ought to update my blog, since it's been awhile.
I am actually itching to do another portrait session, since my last one was a while ago. But don't you worry, It's coming up soon! I've got some planned :)

It's A New Year!

It's a NEW YEAR! Sorry, I am a day late on blogging this!
Things have been pretty crazy lately, working & things to take care of for the new year!

I am about to go on vacation....to OKLAHOMA CITY! to visit my best friend!! {super excited!!} So Stay Tune for photos from there! :)

Like I said before, 2011 is when I am going to follow my dream of making a living out of my photography, I had always wanted to be a portrait/wedding photographer ever since I had my first DSLR camera. I fell in love with taking portraits of people, I especially fell in love with taking photos of people IN LOVE <3

I am currently working on getting my official website up for the new year! & get business started! I am super excited to do this, & hope I am successful at running my business.

I want to thank you everyone that has helped me throughout this journey. I really appreciate all the support you have given me. Thank you! :)

Hello everyone!
How exciting is it?! The year is about to end! Which means my new adventure in life will start! :) I hope that I will be successful in this adventure, but I am going to need your help! :)

Anyway, I haven't been able to update my project 365. But I will soon, once I find the time to do so. But do not worry, I have been taking a photo each day, it may be crappy, but its something! :)

Congrats to Ronnie&Tamara!
They are the newly engaged couple that I had the opportunity to work with! They were absolutely amazing! Before the shoot, Tamara told me she and Ronnie never ever had their picture taken & that they were nervous to do it, but i told them not to worry and just be natural~ :)
& thats what they did!!! They were great! I had an amazing time, & the location we were at was amazing, Tamara told me she wanted somewhere "green" & "rustic" & look what we got!! Exactly that! :)

Thank you Ronnie&Tamara for taking the time out to do this! Congrats again on your engagement! You guys were amazing, & just made for each other! :)

You guys were superb! & gorgeous, hilarious and fun to work with! I had so much fun!

& to Thuy, Thank you Thank you Thank you! I just can't say that enough! :)

It made me realize how much I love weddings, & how much I enjoy shooting them, it's a different feeling, you know, being on the photographer's side of weddings: the feeling of appreciation for my hard work, the time with the couple who are just madly in love with each other, & having that honor to capture that love they have for one another, ... its just beautiful... <3

It's not the end of the year just yet... but i know it will go by really fast...
For some reason, right now, I am having a flashback of everything, i am lookin' thru my photos, {the ones i have left, and are posted online..} makes me depressed that i lost them all :(

& then i remember back all that has happened this past year... year of 2010.... tomorrow is the last day of november, then on to DECEMBER!
i can't believe it.....
for my day 300, I thought of this idea to take this shot while i was driving, this photo makes me feel like i am flying thru the road or thru time, like this year has flown by me so fast, i didnt even have enough time to blink.
it seems like i had a lot of ups and downs, dont know which one is more, i guess it just evens out.

yes. i participated in the black friday event.
yes it was dumb. to stay up. & be stuck in traffic, park far away, & walk in the cold to get into the mall, where not only were there lines to buy things, which werent really on that sale, but there was a line to get into the store to start your browsing.

yes. i stayed up til 5am.
slept, woke up. went to work.

Yesterday I did a mini portrait session with my friend, Jen.

It was cold, but the lighting was great! I had so much fun!
We went around the area, until I found this wall...

okay. today is a "blah" day for me.
i have some news. for you all. {those who actually read this...}

like you know, if you have been following up with me, & my life events...
i recently dropped my hard drive.
& was unable to recover any data...
i sent it in to get it "professionally" looked at... hoping for some good results,
but today. i received a phone call.
unfortunately, none of my data was recovered.
goodnews, i get my $$ back.

but still. i am heartbroken. {i cried..}
knowing that all that i saved up...all my snapped memories...
all gone... now i just have to accept it...

i know i make it sound so dramatic, but really..
i grew an attachment to my photos.
now my only regret is that i did not back it up.

LESSON LEARNED.
need to figure out how to back up everything. ASAP.

on the bright side, i ordered my shootsac! :D
i am super excited for it to come, & can't wait to use it :)

Last week I took some portraits for my friend, the theme she wanted was Fall/Autumn! :)
I had so much fun working with her...her smile is so natural and naturally beautiful.
Of course, when thinking about doing a fall photo session, I was super excited, because Fall/Autumn is one of my favorite seasons, I love how the leaves change color, and we can wear little cute beanies and scarves.

So today was a pretty hectic, and crazy day, but super fun!
Went service in the morning, then had a family lunch for my parents' anniversary.
Then later, I went to my friend's bridal shower.
It was such a long and tiring day, but i had a lot of fun!!

& like the title... it was a rainy day.... all day it was raining.&cold. brrrrr........ need to buy more scarves!!! hehe :)

Had my first portrait session with an amazing couple, who just had their 1st year anniversary together, and so I took portraits of them & their adorable little dog, Zoe~ the sun won today and did not shine for us when we met up. But we made it work!

Life has been quite busy, so haven't been able to do much...

So anyway. she did an amazing unplugged performance at the Intramuros Music Hall in South SF. I had so much fun, and i was excited to see her!! She is even better LIVE than on my computer screen.... hehe. i wish i could have stayed for the meet &greet, but i had to go home :(
oh well, next time! when she performs in the area again!! :D

What a great way to end this horrible day I had. & What a great way to relax and enjoy some good music and just chill, before this crazy weekend and upcoming week starts!!! I am gonna be so busy and tired. [which means my photos for the next week, maybe......will be like..boring, food shots...or just plain horrible, uninspiring, quick shots for the sake of taking a photo of the day....so i will say sorry to my project beforehand....Sorry!!]

This is not my hamster.
This is my friends' hamster.
My friend bought this little guy a few days ago.

The Story goes like this:
So she bought it, & then lost it that night. Found it a few days after, which was this morning...roaming around her house, kitchen. LOL.
Put it in the cage. It tries to get out.
So one of my other friends decide to call it/him/her/whatever gender this thing is.... Peter. Like Peter Parker, Spiderman.

FYI. Peter bites. He is a mean little guy. But it's probably because he is scared.

[October 9th]

I had one of the best experiences of my life today!! :D
I had the opportunity to assist a very well-known, AMAZING photographer today, Caroline Tran. I had so much fun and learned so much about wedding photography from today's events.

Thank you Caroline & Jonathan for letting me tag along with you guys, I've learned so much :)
it was just so awesome to see you at work, and how you deal with your clients and in certain "lighting" situations. You guys are such an cute, awesome couple!! :)

The wedding they shot today was.... amazingly beautiful, there was so much detail and creativeness in this autumn-themed wedding. The bride and groom were amazing. They were super cute together, & of course, having the greatest time ever.... :) thank you to the couple, bride and groom, P&K....for sharing this day. it was amazing.

Today made me realize how much work is put into taking the best photos you can for that special day for the couple. I know I have so much to learn, but I am eager to learn it all :)
I am eager to shoot a wedding now. I am eager to just shoot anything now.

After such a long day of fun fun fun, we went out for desserts.
& So for the project, I took this photo :)
I ate........coffee ice cream. soo..... i think its starting to hit me now. and i think i can go on and on and babble about today. and how amazing it was. and how much fun i had.

What a day! Are you ready to hear about it?

I had my first day of job training today! @ PB :D
It was fun!! I like working there! :)
Lets just say, I ate alot...jk, i really didnt, surprisingly, hehehe :D
My friend visited me too!! The first person to visit :) Thank you for coming! :)

After work, I drove to Rio Del Mar in Santa Cruz for the "End of the Summer Bonfire" with my friends.
But before the bonfire, I was there to shoot an engagement session for T&L, i shot their engagement a few weeks ago, but this time they wanted to get some sunset photos at the beach.
We rushed to make it for sunset....which we came right on time! whoohoo! :)

Then, it was bonfire time, with friends :) making some s'mores and eating some smoked sausages, is the way to go, my friends :) yum!!

Today was an awesome day!
But now I am exhausted & must get some sleep for tmr's long day, once again.
Working 10-5pm.....anyone in the area? STOP BY! :D

what a long second week of school~
but i have to say, this week wasnt that bad :D

back to this photo.
as i roamed around borders in SR, trying to find something to snap a shot at...i stumbled upon shelves of cardstock. [yes, greeting cards]
& i decided that I will take a photo of them. Beside from my hobby of photography, I like to collect greeting cards!
Yes, greeting cards, sometimes I buy them, thinking I will write in them and give them away, but then I like the message so much, that I keep it for myself.
It came to a point where I found myself heading straight to the hallmark section of Target every single time I shop there.

So, this is my addiction: greeting cards!!

So many people getting engaged and married this year/next year!! :) :)

For example, this couple above.

Today, I attended D&P's "dam hoi" [sorry can't make the accent marks on here] but it is a traditional Vietnamese engagement party.
I know this couple thru a friend of mine, the bride is her cousin.

Anyway, in Vietnam, when two people are dating and would like to get married, they must ask both sides of the family first, before making it public.

The tradition goes like this:
- The Boy's side of the family comes over to the Girl's side of the family with "goodies" [food].
- Asks for the girl's parents' permission to marry their daughter.
- They agree, both sides.
- Then Boy gets to see Girl, & propose to her in front of everyone [all family]

There is probably more, but I am not familiar with the customs.
But isn't that just the cutest thing ever to do? HAHA :)

Today I went to the Kina Grannis concert @ Great American Music Hall in SF :D
She was amazing!! I am absolutely in love with her music! & she is such an inspiration to me, [to start up learning guitar and whatnot...HAHA]

sept 10th - wow, finally saw sunset at the beach. for the whole summer!! & i mean the WHOLE summer, i did not once seen the sun setting at the beach, cuz it was too foggy. [seriously this year's weather is wacked..]

anyway. it was beautiful...i wanted to have a photoshoot right then and there!..it would have been amazingly perfect!

sept 11th ~ Engagement Photo Session with T&L in the city!
It was fun, but lets just say, it was unexpected...I seriously might be too hard on myself, hoping that I took better, perhaps tried harder to get better shots. But I got to work with what I got. Anyways. These roses are the roses T wanted to surprise L with, however, due to some car issues, we had to switch cars and she saw the hidden items in the trunk. but, though it was not at the destination we would have wanted, i did get a few shots of her not-so-surprised face. [haha]
It was really sweet of him & very thoughtful :) what a romantic! haha.

Well, our day started unexpected and ended unexpected. I would say this was one of the hardest photoshoots I had to do.
I hope I didnt disappoint them ><\

oh yes. and did you notice?.... my logo.
im still trying to work on it, perfecting it... any ideas???

Today was a good day of field service all day, it felt good to be out and visit my return visits,
& had nice, encouraging conversations with some of my very close friends, which is something i need right now.

....however, i just received news about my HD..
not-so-great news.. :(
i am quite bummed, but really appreciate all that my friend has done. really. i do.
but it needs to be in the hands of a "specialist"
& well, yeah.
